Accessibility

LabArchives is accessible technology for anyone who works in a lab – it’s designed for everyone. LabArchives meets important accessibility guidelines. And above all, it’s easy to use.

However, this work is always being improved upon. Please contact us if you have accessibility questions.

Standards for assistive technology

LabArchives complies with:

  • US Rehabilitation Act Section 508. See VPAT.
  • The Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • WAI Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level A and Level AA

LabArchives is built with standard web tech such as JavaScript, HTML5 and WIA-ARIA extensions. LabArchives can be used with many devices and browsers. And our assistive technology features allow for modification as needed. As a result, LabArchives can support users with unique needs.

Testing

Our software code is tested for accessibility during the development process and in the Q/A process.

Our assistive technology is checked automatically and manually. For example, the platform’s colors are tested against visual display standards. In addition, we test for screen reader accessibility. This ensures that visually impaired users can work with LabArchives. Similarly, LabArchives works with keyboard input navigation. LabArchives is accessible technology truly designed for anyone and everyone. Above all, we are here to support our users no matter their needs.
